S2L Challenge 5/18-5/25

This week's challenge was to use Neon in our page. I decided to do a digital page. I think it looks great with the shocking pink, neon green and bright orange! I am very pleased with how it turned out.

S2L Challenge 5/8-5/15

This week's challenge was to scrap our likes/dislikes, but since I had already done that in December, see previous post. I decided to just "scrap anything". I worked on this at the online crop and could not finish it because I didn't have any red 12 x 12 paper. I ended up finding some a few days later at Joanns and completed the page. I wasn't going to put it up, but a couple of people (you know who you are) keep bugging me about seeing my red paper page. So here it is. Nothing spectacular, just needed some red.

Howdy, Rugby!

When we went on vacation out west to visit family, we were able to take DS to my aunt's friend's pasture and ride her horse, Rugby. He was HUGE to say the least! It was so cute to see my little DS up on this big ole' horse! I have many more picture, but these are the pics of us meeting Rugby. Just wanted to put them here to share.

S2L Challenge 5/1-5/8

This week's challenge was to include sparkle on our page. Glitter, shiny stickers, gold or silver paper. I had to think seriously what I was going to do this time. But in the end I remembered I had some glitter I had gotten in a kit and decided to try it. Really didn't want to make the mess, but decided for something I may only do once, what the heck?! So I used the glitter on the letters for the title and around the border of the journalling. I think it turned out pretty good and I didn't make tooooo much of a mess! lol

S2L Challenge 4/17-4/24

This week's challenge was to use something yellow or orange in our layouts. Well since I had been trying to do digital (my goal is to do one page a week, but I am still learning so it might be one every other week). Anyway, I had been working on these pages of my sister's boys. The bottom one I had already done a few weeks ago, but the top one I did tonight. So I am posting them both because they go together, even though they aren't actually a two page layout. But they are yellow and orange! lol

S2L Challenge 4/11-4/18

The challenge this week was to use your scraps. All the pieces too little to use as backgrounds or mats, but that you hang on to in hopes of using them. I so needed this challenge to clean out SOME of my scraps. Unfortunately, I still have some of the scraps of my scraps that I used. I am thinking I will create another page almost identical but with different pictures for the kids album. Anyway, also this week was the 12th of the month, so I combined the two--love it when I can do this! Everything is scraps except for the large purple one in the middle of page 1 and the large white square on the middle of page 2, even the large strip on the first page was a scrap! So here is the masterpiece!

My Very First Digital Page--and S2L Challenge 4/3-4/10

Here is my very first digital page. After much blood, sweat, and tears, plus a bunch of trial and error and asking everyone I could get ahold of, I have finally created my first digital page. Now, just so you know, this is not how this page is actually going to be permanantly, as I really don't want bunnies on this page! lol However, I had downloaded a free digital kit for easter and REALLY wanted to try my hand at a digital page. I followed a tutorial and did pretty good except my first page the two ribbons had great big grey boxes around them. I couldn't figure it out and neither could anyone else. So I was asking someone about it again today to see if they could help me and she couldn't. But in doing so I tried sending her the link of the tutorial I was using. Well, since I had it open I decided to see if I had done something wrong and re-read the part about putting the embellishments on. Well I did it right, sort of, there were two ways to do it, apparently the way I had done originally, drag and drop, did not work (for whatever reason) but copying and pasting it did. And VOILA! here it is!!! I am so darn excited I can hardly stand it!! Now I need to fill up my hard drive with a whole bunch of kits and use the correct colors and papers to make a page that looks really nice for this picture! lol
