Another LO!

Tonight I completed this page. The kit is from Kimmy at http://kimmyskeepsakes.blogspot.com/. I love the colors of this kit and thought it would go great with the colors of the cars! My son is definitely a boys' boy and loves anything with cars. He can do anything with cars or trains! lol This time he combined the two into a lovely piggyback train! lol He is too funny and so creative!

Completed at the Crop 122608

Today I completed the following pages! They are from the aquarium visit in Feb 2007 (nothing like being almost 2 years behind! lol) Oh well. The first one is the kids acting like the sleeping ducks. This is also using the A Cherry On Top--July 08 Free Kit .
This second one is of some shells that were made into a little play area. This is using the Painted Quilt kit by Amber at http://stolenmomentsdesign.blogspot.com/.

Great kits! Hope you like them too!

Completed Christmas Night

Tonight I decided to do a little scrapping. But I wanted to be lazy too. I didn't want to figure out the LO so I decided to use some quickpages to complete some layouts quickly! lol This first one is our professional family picture that we put in our Christmas cards. This quick page is from Debbie Nolen at http://debozark.blogspot.com/. Isn't it elegant?! Still not sure if I like the font I used for the date, so if you have any suggestions for fonts I could get that would look good with this page I would gladly welcome them!

This is the second one I completed tonight (well actually I did this actual page first, but it is the second one I am sharing with you! lol). I have actually had it in mind for awhile ever since I found this lovely quickpage by Tbugz. (I don't have a link as I found it on one of the many blog trains and there wasn't a TOU in the zip file.) Anyway, I knew exactly what I was going to use the quickpage for: our outing to the Walk through Bethlehem. Unfortunately, the pics of the night we actually got to DO the walk are none because the memory card was full. But the pics of the first night we ATTEMPTED to go turned out (the wait was 2 hours long and it was already 7:30 at night--we had already stood in line for 1 hour just to get our name on the LIST!!! uh yeah, not happening that night. Of course Tye was devestated so we had to go see the animals to make him happy enough to not have a bigger meltdown than the one he was already having.) So I used those pictures in the quickpage. I still think it turned out cute!

S2L Challenge 11/30-12/7

Here is another LO I created today! YAY ME!!! (See the two previous posts to see what else I got done!)

The challenge was to create a LO using blue, white, and/or silver. Use 5 brads or eyelets on your LO. And of course, scrap anything. Well I went more towards the first part. And used white, silver and gold! The background (wall paint) of the original picture was blue, but I cropped it all out because it didn't look good! lol So here it is:

Every year we put up a tree in our bedroom. It is a prelight tree with clear lights. We have gold and clear balls on it with all the different names of Jesus on it (we ran out of balls and space and still have some names left over we will use in the future....maybe on a bigger tree! lol). Also on the tree are all my angel ornaments. I get them all the time, friends, family and I buy them myself. I love angels at Christmas time. Also my dad's nickname for me is Angel Pie so I am used to getting angel stuff.

This kit is by Linda Walton at http://bonscrapatitdesigns.blogspot.com/. Her digital kits are awesome! Check her out some time!

What I got done at the crop today 121908

Along with the challenge page I got done earlier today, I also completed the following! I am trying to get through the pictures on this current CD from like Jan-Feb on 2007. So here are several of them! WOOHOO! Now only about three more 2 page LOs to complete! :-) I am trying to catch up for all these weeks of NOT scrapping! lol

S2L Challenge December 12-21

WOOHOO!! I am finally completing a challenge again (and on time!! lol) I am so far behind on these challenges since I haven't actually scrapbooked since way before Thanksgiving. But it gives me something to do at the crop today! So here is this week's challenge rules:
  • Use circles on your layout
  • Use cream, brown, blue and pink
  • Scrap anything
Well I combined the first two. I used circles and the colors brown and blue and Jasmine's outfit it pink, does that work??? lol No real cream on there, but I think I am still good! lol I actually scraplifted the LO and then just added a few of my own twists to it. But I loved it and definitely knew it could work with these pictures and this challenge.

So what do you think????

My Calendar Pages

Whew they are finally done! I kept putting it off, putting it off, putting it off. Then we were going to Utah for Thanksgiving and I just did not have the time to get them done before we left. Yes, I know I am a slacker. What can I say? But it is finally done now! lol

1000 visits and some awards!

Woohoo, in just 3 months I have had over 1000 visitors to my blog! That's cool! I love sharing my work with everyone! I hope you all like it as much as I do. I am amazed at how many people leave comments about how wonderful my pages are. Sometimes I think you are just being kind, but other times I can tell you really mean it and I thank you for that!

And just a reminder it is important to continue to look at my blog as you never know when either YOU, someone you love, OR your work (you awesome designers out there! lol--but I will let you know if I do use your work) will show up on my blog.

Also I received two awards--YES TWO!! lol From my fellow scrapping Spark Buddies! Yes in case you all don't know because you haven't visited our family site. I have lost almost 60 pounds in 1 year. I still have a ways to go, but I use a FANTASTIC FREE site called http://www.sparkpeople.com/. I love it and have met some wonderful people.

So the first person I have been selected by is Denice. She gave me the Kreative blogger award. See posts below for my list as I have to go to work and don't have time to do it again. Thanks Denice!

And the second one is from Pam. She is so sweet! Thank you! I will have to post my list of those that get the awards later. Cause I don't want to be late! lol

I'm on a creative roll!

Well I must say I am feeling pretty good. I created another LO tonight! I am really getting pages done. I may actually meet my scrapbooking goal for the month even with being on vacation this next week. We'll see what happens the rest of this week, but at this point I have now created 21 pages this month. Well, nevermind, maybe I won't make it to my goal (which is 50 pages), but at least I got some done! lol Way more than I did last month with trying to do paper LOs.

So anyway, I found this kit tonight called Super Heros and LOVED it and knew how I was going to use it because JUST THIS WEEK I took pictures of Tye acting like a super hero. He asked Kevin to tie his blanket around his neck. It was so cute. Don't mind that he is hanging out in his underoos! lol I hadn't gotten him dressed yet that morning! lol Oh well. Sometimes you just gotta take the pictures when they happen even if they aren't always the most appropriate! lol Anyway, the kit is by AmieBear.

What I got done at the crop today 111408

1. 2 and 3.

1. It took me ALLLLLLLL day to complete this! ARGH! lol I think it turned out okay. I just could not get it to come together very well. Not sure why. All the pieces are great, the pics are pretty good, but I guess my creative mojo wasn't there! lol Anyway, this is the August Collab 08 kit from Cen's CT team. The paper and a good majority of the elements are from Kim's Scrappin' at http://kimscrapping.blogspot.com/. The green frame on the right is from June herself, http://censloft.blogspot.com/. The sunshine is from AB Designs, I do not have a link for her as I downloaded her part directly from June's blog. Finally the word art in the title is from LindaJD at http://lindajd.blogspot.com/. Thank you ladies for a wonderful kit! (Even though my blog about the page is less than stellar, the kits definitely are!) I am loving all these freebies the talented designers are sharing so that I can feed my digital obsession! Thank you again!

2 and 3. I was also able to complete this the last couple of hours of the crop. I didn't know what to do at first, but then I finally figured it out. And it kindof just came together. I was able to complete 4 pages (2 2 page LOs). This is from a kit called All Aboard by Crazy Diamon Designs. She can be found here: http://designsbycrazydiamond.wordpress.com/. I must admit this is the only kit I have ever paid for. I HAD to have it for my little engineer! lol

What I did last night and tonight 11/11-11/12

I seriously have been behind on scrapbooking so I felt I really needed to get at least 1-2 pages done a night this week. Yesterday I completed 1 page in both Kevin and I's weight loss albums. However, those are too personal and I won't share them. But then last night I did complete a 2 page LO from our trip to the aquarium. They have an outdoor section called "Explore-A-Shore" which during the summer is a water park area. But during the winter (when we went) the kids could just play on the toys. They have one part that has a surfboard. The kids looked like little surfers riding the wave!

The kit is by Vicki and is called "Deep Blue". You can find her stuff here: http://vicki20.blogspot.com/. Thanks Vicki! I love your work and the colors for this one worked perfectly with the wave in the picture!

The other two pages, even though they will go side by side in the album, don't actually go together. They were also from our aquarium trip, but aren't of the same thing. But the paper and elements worked so well with both pages and since they are going to be side by side I decided to match things a little bit.

The stuff for these pages are from a giant collab put on by ADSD for up and coming designers. The collab was called Zoo Spirit. I mostly used stuff from Deb aka the Scrappin' Cop. You can find her site here: http://thescrappincop.blogspot.com/. The bottle caps on the first page and the ric rac ribbons on the second page are from Kim's Scrappin' kit. Her website can be found here: http://kimscrapping.blogspot.com/. The borders on the first page are from abyscraps by Sheila. Who can be found here: http://abyscraps.wordpress.com/. And finally the tag on page 2 came from Mel's part of the collab, which can be found here: http://sweetasmel.blogspot.com/. Thank you ladies for such a fun kit! It turned out terrific!

S2L Challenge 10/31-11/7

This week's challenge was to do pets or animals. Or to use buttons on your page. I decided to try my hand at using both in my LO. I think it worked out pretty good. Pretty much everything is from a kit called "Under the Sea" by Angela at http://scrappinmommydesigns.blogspot.com/. The buttons are from Deb at http://thescrappincop.blogspot.com/ Thanks ladies for letting people use your great scrapbooking items!

Another award--I can't believe it!!

Are you sure you are picking me???? lol I can't believe it, another talented Designer has picked me to recieve this award! Thank you, June! I certainly do not deserve this awards. I only started doing digital in April. And I didn't really start doing it seriously until the end of June. But boy do I enjoy it and I am almost to the point where I am considering going ONLY digital. BUT I must use up all of my STUFF before I move on entirely. lol
Please check out June's blog for her wonderful kits. She is currently doing nursery rhyme kits. They are great!! I can't wait to use them! Here is the link to her blog: http://censloft.blogspot.com/ Again, thank you June! I really am humbled by your sweet gesture and comments!
As for what I am supposed to do, please check below as I just did it recently. My loves have not changed! hehehe :-)

S2L Challenge 10/25-10/31

This week's challenge of course was to do a Halloween LO. I wanted to do this year's pictures. So I didn't actually complete it until today. It is digital again! :-) Gotta love it! I used the "Got Sugar Blog Train" kit. It was from several different designers, so I apologize for not giving credit to each individual person as I used a little bit from each kit. Thank you all for a great blog train!

What I completed at the crop on Friday 10/31/08

Of course, I missed a couple hours of cropping at my usual Friday all day online crop/chat due to Halloween. But that is okay as I completed 3 pages anyway!

Here is the first 2 page LO. It is of Jasmine taking a bath the week she left us. These are two separate kits that I put together. Part is from Kimmie's Keepsakes. Her blog can be found here: http://kimmyskeepsakes.blogspot.com/ . The other part of the page is from a kit called Bathtime add on for DigiTreats Jump Kit. It is by Jennifer Apodaca. I apologize as I can't remember where I actually found it at. I am guessing on her blog but I don't have the address.

The third page I created was a quickpage (I apologize because it was just a png quick page there is no information for me to give credit to. So if this is your quickpage creation, THANK YOU! And I am sorry. Leave a comment and I will update this information--I stumbled upon who it was. It is a lady named Maryse. Thank you Maryse! It is darling!). I had wanted to do it awhile ago, but I didn't have just the right picture. I had one that I tried to use, but it didn't work. So I asked my sister to send me one that was more a full body sleeping pic of my nephew Drew. The pic was PERFECT!! It fit the page great and the colors of his outfit matched perfectly (and I didn't even tell her the colors or anything, I only asked for a full body sleeping pic)! I think it turned out great. I hope she likes it as much as I do!

What I did tonight 102808

I decided to try to do something tonight scrapbooking wise before I went to bed. So here is what I completed. I should have been in bed a long time ago. But oh well. I will get to bed as soon as I finish this post. :-)

I wanted to scrap this picture tonight (there was also another one, but it wasn't as cute, so I decided to just use this one). So I started looking for something and I had just downloaded the alpha for a kit called Sweet Lilac by Sara at Sweet Blossom Designs (you can see her website here http://sweetblossomdesigns.blogspot.com/ and pick up the freebie kit if you wish). I think the colors worked perfectly with the picture and I am very pleased with how it turned out! Thanks Sara for a great kit!

Bagalope and Singing Time Props

Last night a couple of the girls from my scrapbooking team on SparkPeople.com wanted to go into the online chat room that we have for our team and chat while they watched the Penn State-Ohio State game. So since I didn't get to join in for much of the day yesterday because of the Halloween party prep, I decided I would join in too and watch the World Series Game! lol

So during the crop/chat I was getting my singing time props ready for church. I teach the kids music. So I had gotten an idea from something that was in the book I got when I started doing this job. It had an apron with some pockets on it that were drawn on. In the pockets you were to put popsicle sticks or papers with songs names on it depending on the subject is what pocket the song went in. Anyway, even though I would like to do that, with all the abuse charges nowadays, I just felt it was best to not do something where the kids would be sticking their hands into something that I was actually wearing. So I was trying to figure out something different. I came up with the idea of having a spinner and that would be the subject they would have to draw a song out of.

So I got that all created and got the labels for the subjects figured out. But my main problem was figuring out what container to put the songs in (and the labels on). Mind you this was about 11:00pm Saturday night (I had to have this for church at 9am this morning). So I asked the ladies on the chat (thank heavens we were on the chat while I was doing this....God works in mysterious ways sometimes!). The only thing I could come up with was styrofoam cups. Unless I wanted my DH to go buy some paper bags (since he works nights right next to Walmart, he could go on his break). But the styrofoam cups seemed tacky (even though they said it wasn't too bad) and the paper bags would mean spending money and asking my husband to go do it during his break, but hopefully before midnight since we don't shop on Sundays.

Thankfully, Tracy had an EXCELLENT idea! She said, "you can make a bagalope." I said, HUH??? "What is a bagalope?" She provided this link http://www.stampin-pad.com/bagalope.htm So I went and read it. Basically, in case you don't care how or what it is too much, lol, an envelope made into a bag! Pretty easy, especially after you get the hang of it. Plus you can make it as simple or elegant as you want. Since it was already late enough I knew I just had to get them done so mine are simple! lol Here is one of the bags (probably one I will change since the subject is limited to only 5 songs! lol).

And here is the final project with the spinner and all the bags.

Again, THANK YOU TRACY!!!

S2L Challenge 10/17-10/24 and a Halloween invitation

This week's challenge was to use polka dots or circles in your LO. I had no idea which LO it would end up on, but I knew I would easily be able to complete the challenge.

On Sunday I decided to complete another snow LO for my Utah Trip for Christmas 2006/New Years 2007 Album. I knew the pictures, I knew what I was going to use for the title and I knew that I was going to use a real photo scrapbook paper of trees with snow on them. But I didn't know what I was going to do for the actual LO or what I would use for the base paper. So I looked through my stash of embellishments, ribbons (I thought I had one that had snowflakes on it but I thought it was blue, turns out it was green with snowflakes on it. ARGH that wasn't going to work because my vision was for a powder blue background). So I continued looking and went to my DCWV Christmas stack pack. I found some paper that I really thought would look great in the end (not at all what I originally had envisioned!) and guess what??? The paper is polka dots...green! So guess what else, I get to use the green ribbon with snowflakes! I also got to use my cricut for the snowflakes. It was a trial and error as I wasn't really sure what size to use or how to get the size I wanted for the page. But in the end I think it turned out great!

Today I also made some Halloween invitations for our party on Friday (okay I know nothing like waiting until the last minute, but we just decided last Saturday and I did send some of them regular premade invitations to the people I didn't talk to). So for those I did talk to I decided to make my own! Once again I broke out the cricut and Design Studio! I made pumpkins and used Design Studio to weld the letters together for Halloween Party! I am very pleased with the outcome. Except I still need to learn somethings about shapes as I didn't feel like the pumpkins looked exactly right. Oh well, it still looks good I think! So here that is too!

Crop 10/17 and S2L Challenge 10/10-10/17

I, of course, wanted to get a lot more done than this, but alas this is all I completed! lol

I first worked on some more snow pages from our Utah trip in Jan 2007. So here are the pages for this!

Then I also worked on this week's challenge which was Christmas in October. Last year we went to Christmas Lane. It is a huge farm where this guy has soooooooooooo many Christmas decorations. A Santa's tent with an elf and all sorts of HUGE toys. He has a little train the kids can ride on. He has a nativity scene. A sleigh. A GIANT tree.....there is a pic of PART of it on the page. A very fun evening! We are definitely going again this year!

If I get more done I will post it later!

S2L Scrapbook Challenge 10/3-10/10

This week's challenge was to use a pumpkin on our layout. Well it took me longer than normal because I had found a digital scrapbook kit blog train (okay I know some of you have no idea what I am saying. But basically you go to a ton of different blogs and each blog has a part of the kit.) So I have spend the last week downloading free kits. I finally finished last night and now was prepared to create my layout! Here it is, I hope you like it!

What I completed at the crop on 10/10/08

I completed this LO for my Utah trip album. I also completed 5 pages for Kevin and I's weight loss scrapbook. However, since those are private I am not posting any pics for it.

I downloaded some digital stuff and chatted more than I should! lol

And I used my cricut to cut out some numbers to put on my 50 pounds lost pages. Oh I don't know if ever posted those because I didn't "complete" them! I will post these, even though they are part of my weight loss album, because I have already blogged the whole thing, so there is nothing secret about these pages! lol So here they are!

Completed at Crop 10/3/08

Not only did I complete the Birthday Challenge LO in the post below but I also completed 2 other LOs!

The first one is part of my Utah Trip over Christmas 2006/New Years 2007. We spent Jan 3rd swimming at a cool indoor pool (see post for Challenge 9/19-9/26). Then on Jan 4th it finally snowed! We drove to a park in Brigham City, UT and let the kids have at it. I have a million pictures from that day. So I am trying to purge some and creating layouts of the others! Hard when I really did end up with so many cute pictures!

The second one is just a 1 page LO. This was on New Years Eve. We went to a little party and during the night they had a gift exchange where you steal presents and all that stuff. Well Ty had gotten a set of DragonTales books at one point. He loved them and was very quick to entertain himself by looking at them. But then my nephew stole them from him. Ty was so sad, luckily he ended up with a Winnie the Pooh bouncey ball. I finished the title for it today.

Update: I also wanted everyone to know I actually ended up finding the books at my local DollarTree last year so he has his very own set (which is where I got the DragonTale stuff from, I just scanned it in from the front cover of the books and then cut it out!) Thanks for your sweet concerns! I am glad it all worked out in the end. And I didn't want anyone to think I thought my nephew was mean, it was just part of the game and they are the same age so they both wanted the same thing! lol

S2L Challenge 9/26-10/3

This week's challenge was to complete a birthday layout or use brown on your LO. I chose the birthday layout. I had to find my pictures first of course. lol And I really wanted to put a present on it but couldn't find a digi one and didn't want to waste time looking for one. So I used the train and wagon instead and I think it turned out great!

Here it is:

S2L Challenge 9/20-9/26

This week's challenge was my idea. I wanted to complete these specific pages so I got Tracy to pick it as this week's challenge. It is to put as many pictures as you can on a layout. I got 9 pics on my 2 page layouts. Since they are real pictures and not in wallet form (they were already printed like a year and a half ago and never scrapped yet), I didn't have any more to put on there. So here they are. Hope you like them.

Things I got done at the crop on 9/19/08

Okay so I started all these projects last week in hopes of using my new cricut on some of them. However, the cricut didn't work (yeah brand new and doesn't even come on right! lol See my previous blog for details). So everything got set aside until I could complete it during the week.

The first project was two pages for my Christmas 2006/New Years 2007/Utah Trip album (I know a lot in one, but it was actually all spent in Utah we were just there for both). Anyway, I wanted to use the cricut to do the title. I completed everything else on the page as far as the paper goes, but had to glue it all down, put the title on and do the embellishments. So today 9/26/08 I was able to complete them and get everything put in place. I think they turned out great!

The second project was maze books for my DS and two nephews. My DS and one nephew are best friends. We get to see them about twice a year and while there they are joined at the hip. Their birthday's are 1 day apart (same year). They are definitely that "two peas in a pod" saying. When we were in Utah this summer when one of them would walk into the room the other would yell his name and light up like they hadn't seen each other for years yet it had only been 5 minutes! lol They call each other on the phone every couple of weeks and both are going to pre-school and both LOVE Thomas and both are just so much alike that they get along wonderfully. So I wanted to make some books for the boys for them to both enjoy and see each other whenever they wanted. In the 2nd picture I have put page 1 and 2 in the same pic (one from each boy's album) and then the 3rd picture is of page 3 and 4. Well the "best friend" nephew has a younger brother and I knew I could not make a book for just one of them. So I decided to do a third book for him. An All About Me. I think they both turned out great. I started the books last Friday, but finished the pictures and everything inside the books and the covers during the week this week. So here they are. PS don't mind my fingers in the pictures, they don't lay down flat so I had to use something! lol At least my nails look decent!
