Everyday Happenings by Spinky Dink Scraps and Misty O'Brien

Spinky Dink Scraps has another collab kit out, this time with Misty O'Brien. It is more focused toward the P365. Which is good, because then it can be used for ANYTHING! The kit is called Everyday Happenings. Here is a preview of the kit. Go over to SDS to see how you can get this kit!

Minnie Card

Here is the card I made for my niece for her birthday. I got this stamp from Michaels in the dollar bin! lol And I used my Mickey and Friends cricut cart that I just got in the mail a week ago! I LOVE how it turned out! :-)

STS SS# 98

originally this SS was at 6pm, but for whatever reason it got changed. When I saw someone post about Friday's SS I looked at my schedule and thought, OH CRUD I missed it! UGH! lol BUT then I looked at the hostess's blog and she said it was at 10pm my time! WOOHOO It is only 11:15 so I have time to do it before the SS is officially over!

Here are the instructions:
Step #1: Please choose 2 pictures. Edit them if you wish. Leave one semi-large--place to one side of the layout just off center up or down. You're second picture will be smaller..placed just to the right of your larger picture.
Step #2: Pick 2 papers. Use one as your background, and then place the 2nd, a little smaller on top of the first paper.
Step #3: Frame the larger photo. You can use a paper to mat it, or use a frame. Also use a ribbon or string or a different frame to frame your smaller photo.
Step #4: It's time for elements!! Choose a few elements & cluster them on both sides of your photos/frames/mats. Include at least ONE string or ribbon. Please have some ellies on TOP of the photos, and a few behind the photos.
Step #5: Add a scatter..or splatter..glitter or paint or beads or whatever your little heart desires!! It can be big, little, front, back...
Step #6: add a wordart or title, with at least one larger sized word. Also add a tag or tape strip or paper strip with a date or descriptive word in one of the clusters.
Step #7: Add shadows, journalling, extra elements, whatever extras you need to finish off your layout.

So race, race, race and here is the LO I came up with!

Brite by Spinky Dink Scraps

Lindsay of Spinky Dink Scraps has teamed up with Laura of simply.scraps to bring us a "totally tubular" 80s kit! I was so excited when I saw it and the LOs just started pouring out. My sister (seen in the second layout--well she is both, but by herself in the second one) made and sent all of us kids (and the grandkids) CDs of a bunch of pictures from when we were kids, and from when our parents met and such. Which was good since on my scrapbook team we were doing a "blast from the past" and I was really not wanting to dig through all my photos to find my blast from the past pics. So as soon as I saw this kit I knew immediately where I would get the pictures to use on these LOs.

Unfortunately, I don't have a preview of the entire kit, but I tried to use a wide variety of the elements and papers. So here are my LOs. This is me and my siblings in 1990. Love the neon colors of our shirts and such! lol

And a picture of my sister when she was around 16 years old in 1985.

So if you are liking what you see in the LOs, go to Lindsay's blog and find out how to get the kit!

SS #97 STS

After the clipboard project last night I decided to participate in a speed scrap. I was late getting there so I just got the directions from the forum. I would love to post them but they were in individual posts and that is just a pain in the hiney. So here is my LO instead. lol

Chatroom Project 1/22/10

Here is the fun little project we made at our chat tonight! I am not sure if you can tell but there is a little flower on the top left and then a dragonfly on the top right. And a ribbon across the top. I feel like it needs something else, while at the same time I want it to be useful so don't want too much more on it. I mod podged it and so it has a small bubble right in the middle. UGH! lol
