Got Milk?

Last night when I was running through my blog list, I went to LetMeScrapbook! and got this adorable quickpage!!! Gotta love the quickpages especially when you know what you are going to use them on right then. Just insert pictures, journal and you are done!!! Isn't this an adorable page? She used her kit called Grandma's Farm to make this page. I am grateful to say that I got that kit when she had it as a freebie on her blog so I hope to use the kit some more at a later time! :-)

What I got done at the crop (and last night) lol

Yesterday was definitely not as productive as I would like, party because I was trying to focus on really making my pages nice so that it looks really good in the anniversary album. I only have a little over two weeks to complete this so I have time to get it back before we leave on our anniversary getaway! :-)

Remember the kits I won last week from Digi-Designs by Nicole? Well I picked this kit as one of the two. It's called WooHoot! It is sooooo cute with the owls (Amy, I know you are lovin' this! lol) I must admit I scraplifted this LO and then made it my own! lol

This next page will be page 2 from our Hawaiian vacation in 2004. I have to wait to make page one until I can find the picture we had taken at the Luau of the two of us with some "native dressed" people! lol I am pretty sure it is in a box with the curio cabinet stuff (we took everything out and boxed it up when we painted and were thinking we were going to be moving out West, but since the market is so crappy we just decided to wait and see. So I need to work on unpacking that stuff sometime after the holidays are over I think). So my goal this week is to find that picture and also one more that I guess I forgot to scan from our wedding pictures! UGH! lol

STS SS #67

Yep I have pretty much participated in every Stuff to Scrap SS for the last two weeks. Sad huh?! I actually didn't even know about this one until Alicia told me on our weekly chat. So I ran over there and participated.

Here are the instructions:
1. CHOOSE AT LEAST 2 PAPERS OF THE SAME COLOR.THEY CAN BE PATTERNED OR SOLIDS BUT NEED TO BESOMEWHAT MONOCHROMATIC. YOU CAN HAVE DIFFERENT SHADES OF THE SAME COLOR.
2. CHOOSE AT LEAST TWO PICTURES OF THE SAME PERSON, ANIMAL OR THING.
3. PLACE PAPERS AND PICTURES HOWEVER YOU WISH WITH AT LEAST ONE PAPER ANGLED
4. ADD A RIBBON, STRING, OR BOW - MAKE SURE IT IS THE SAME COLOR AS THE PAPERS (IT CAN BE A DIFFERENT SHADE)
5. ADD A FASTENER SUCH AS STAPLE, PAPERCLIP, BRAD, ETC. AND ONE ELEMENT WHICH YOU CAN USE MULITPLE TIMES. (ELEMENT SHOULD BE THE SAME COLOR AS PAPERS...ANY SHADE OF THAT COLOR)
6. ADD A TITLE - USE SOME SORT OF EFFECT WITH A FONT (BEVELLED, PATTERNED, ETC) OR YOU CAN USE AN ALPHA
7. ADD A LITTLE JOURNALING, DROP SHADOWS, RESIZE AND POST!

Here is what I came up with. I am so thrilled with it. I was worried about the monochromatic scheme but I think it turned out excellent! I didn't change the pics to black and white, even though I really thought about it. But I think it makes the pictures the focus since I didn't. What do you think?!

STS SS #66

Last night I participated in another Speed Scrap, it seems like except for Fridays these are the only time I scrap during the week. Oh well, a fun way to do it. I almost didn't do this one because it didn't even start until 10pm. But I did.

So with that said here are the instructions:

1. choose two papers and 4 photos
2. make all photos the same size, and arrange them so they are touching each other
3. make one paper into your background paper, and use the other paper to mat all 4 photos
4. attach the photos to each other with some kind of hardware (staples, buttons, brad, etc)
5. cluster at least 8 elements behind and around your photos
6. use two fonts - either a title and journaling, or 2 fonts in the title
7. add any finishing touches, and post into your gallery

Spinky Spanky by Spinky Dink Scraps

Yes, I am back in business with Spinky Dink Scraps! Lindsay had taken a bit of a break but she is back and is selling in a couple of different stores now and is very excited to show off her kits!

This is one of her kits she has had out for a little bit, but wanted some layouts for it so I took her up on her offer. Here is a preview of the entire kit. It is called Spinky Spanky, cute huh?! lol I love that name! hehehe

Speed Scrap pages

So I have participated in 3 speed scraps this week! lol FUN!!!! So here are the instructions for the STS SS#64:

1. step: Pick one solid paper (- it will be the background) and three pattern papers.
2. step: Pick one picture with one person on it.
3. step: Cut blocks from the patterned papers and arrange the blocks and the photo on the left side on your page.
4. step: Pick a stiching and a staple (you can use them twice or more if you want) and add to your LO.
5. step: Add three (and only three!) elements.
6. step: Make an one-word title from an alpha and put in on the left side, too (as the papers and the pic).
7. step: Add some drop shadows and finish touches - and you are done!

Here are the instructions for STS SS#65:

Steps 1 & 2 Choose 1 Photo & 3-4 Papers. For the papers, it can be any combination of pattern & solid that you want, but 1 of the papers will be used for a photo mat.
Step 3 Take your photo and shape it in some way. It can be any shape you want, just not the standard rectangle; circle, square, star, flower...be creative.
Step 4 Arrange/use papers however you would like on your page, just use one of them to mat your photo with.
Step 5 Add elements, as many as you want, but one of them has to be a stitch of some kind.
Step 6 Add whatever Title, Date, & journaling you would like, HOWEVER, you have to include the name of the person/s in your photo somewhere on your layout.Step 7 It's time for drop shadows & any other finishing touches.

Today at the online crop I finished page two to go with it. I used the same kit as the page above. Aren't the elements sooo cute!?

I completed one more speed scrap today but I will be putting it in another post as it is one of my LOs for my CT designers. I will post it tomorrow.

Back to Nature by Bits N Bobs

Here is another great kit by Bits N Bobs! It is called Back to Nature. I LOVED the background papers! To me the papers were almost a complete LO in and of itself, you just have to insert the extracted picture. At least that's what I did on two of them. Well I did put a few other elements, but at least one of them I did hardly anything and I think the LO is cute and complete! lol

Anyway here is the preview of the kit.

And my LOs. (sorry this one is small and the other two are big, but I wanted you to see the details of the last two and this one just looks pretty as is! lol)

This one was basically complete as is. I just added the extracted pic and the fairies! lol (oh and of course the title and date lol)
I LOVE this LO!!! What do you think of it? I added so many things to it, but you really can't tell because so much of this LO was already on the background paper, I just added in additional flowers, fairies, hummingbirds and clouds. :-)
