Garden of Life kit by Bits N Bobs

Bits N Bobs has a kit that came out while I was on vacation called Garden of Life. When she sent out the preview I absolutely fell in love with it! Isn't the girl/fairy adorable?! I LOVE her!!! lol So of course I asked to work with the kit, but I was unable to actually work on it until now! Here is a preview of the kit (there is even paper with ladybugs on it that is sooooo cute!).

Here are my pages. I did two, two pages spreads. I had a ton of pictures that I took at this time and could barely narrow it down to this many of pages! lol But I LOVE how they came out. My favorite thing on this first page is the ray of sunlight....can you see it?! Tell me that is not too cool! lol

There are two word art pieces in the kit and I really like this one Garden of Life. :-) See here's the fairy girl...isn't she cute???? (And yes I expect you to answer some of these questions in your comments!!!! lol)

Tranquility by ShelBelleScraps

ShelbelleScraps has a new kit coming out today called Tranquility. I really loved the glitter, but then saw the hanging frame in the preview and knew exactly how I was going to use it! Here is a preview of the whole kit. Go to her blog to get the papers for this kit starting today!

Here is what I did with the kit! Don't you love the hanging frame?! I totally love it! This is my niece and cousin reading stories together at our little get together over the 4th of July weekend.

June 2009 Month in Review Pages

FINALLY I get to get back to scrapping!!! Well at a later date and time I will post all the pages I created at my weekend crop the end of June. But for now I will post what I did today. I am trying to stay caught up with my month in review pages. I have only gotten Jan-Mar done, so I need to complete Apr and May to be caught up again.

Well June we did SOOOOO many things that I ended up having to do a 4 page LO to fit everything in. July may end up like that too, but it is okay! lol Remember click on the picture to enlarge it so you can see the journaling plus all the little pictures I squeezed on there!

My SP T-Shirt

I got my Spark People T-Shirt in the mail today and I think it looks great!!! I love it and can't wait to wear it at my scrapbook retreat with my fellow SP members! I have already folded it and put it in the suitcase to wear while I am gone! BTW this is another portrait DS took. Pretty good job huh?! lol

I participated in another speed scrap last night.

Here are the instructions:
STEP 1 - CHOOSE 2 PHOTOS. The "catch" is that the photos have to represent before & after or opposites of some kind. Examples would be summer/winter, young/old, or maybe a drastic haircut...you get the drift. Let's see that creativity!
STEP 2 - MANIPULATE YOUR PHOTOS IN SOME WAY. Shape them, make them black & white, make cut-outs, whatever you want as long as they aren't in their original state.
STEP 3 - CHOOSE 7 PAPERS to use in your layout. They can be patterned, plain, or any combination of the 2.
STEP 4 - USE 1 PAPER AS THE BACKGROUND, CUT THE REST INTO SHAPES AND ADD SOMEWHERE ON YOUR LAYOUT. They can be squares, strips, circles, used as photo mats, whatever your heart desires.
STEP 5 - ADD ELEMENTS; 2 OF YOUR ELEMENTS HAVE TO BE EITHER A STITCH, FIBER, OR RIBBON OF SOME TYPE (This can be the same fiber used twice). The rest of the elements can be to your choosing.
STEP 6 - ADD A SAYING TO YOUR PAGE TO ACT AS THE PAGE TITLE. This can be an actual quote, poem, or just something that you think fits the page.
STEP 7 - ADD DROP SHADOWS TO YOUR PAGE IF YOU LIKE, FINISH "PRETTIFYING" IT, ADD A DATE IF YOU WISH

So what do you think? For printing it out do you think I should keep the circle until the butterfly? I am not so sure I am loving that, but since I had to use 7 papers I needed to do something with the 7th paper!

TP Roll Gift

Okay I got this idea from my friend Denice, and she got it from here . Anyway, I think theirs and the many others out there that I have seen are WAY better. But first, I only had a few hours to do this as the graduation was that night. Second, I don't have any stamps (which I think make it way cuter! lol Third, sometimes I take directions so literally that my brain doesn't kick in gear to think outside the box! lol Anyway, I am still very happy with how it turned out. This was for Tye's teacher at school.

Here is the front cover.

Here is what it looks like from the top and opened.

Here is the tag in the first slot. A picture of Tye and his teacher Miss Lorrie.
Here is the second tag, a little note from us.
And here is the last tag, a gift card to Starbucks.
