Hope Kit by ShelBelleScraps

She has created another great kit. Partly in honor of the Inauguration, but just a patriotic type kit in general. I used mine sort of in a patriotic way, but much different than those usual 4th of July or Memorial day photos. This is the day we adopted our son!! What a wonderful day it was. And also as a side note, my sister just finalized the adoption of their little boy on Monday January 12th. So funny that I choose to use this as my LO for the kit at the same time of their adoption. I really didn't correlate them together until after I did this and remembered about my sister! We are so glad to have him as part of our family. (Both boys actually!) So here is my LO for Hope the kit by ShelBelleScraps.
The kit will be available starting on Sunday evening. So check out her website then to start downloading it!!! http://shelbellescraps.blogspot.com/ And here the preview of the kit!

Part of Another Creative Team

Yes, you read that right! lol I have been named part of another Creative Team! I guess I am getting the hang of this digital stuff and other people are noticing too! :-) So, the blog is by Lindsay at http://spinkydinkscraps.blogspot.com/! She has beautiful kits and of course, I get to work with them! So here is my first LO with her Dreaming of Spring kit! I loved the colors of this kit and as soon as I saw the cute little caterpillar I KNEW I had to use it!! So here is my LO out my son and nephew when we were in Park City, UT this summer on vacation. They are 1 day apart in age and are the best of friends. Too darn bad we live so far away from each other. My sister will tell me funny stories about my nephew wanting to come see my son and my son is always asking about when he can call or see my nephew. They are so funny together. (Click on image to enlarge.)

Here is a preview of her kit, Dreaming of Spring. It is a collaberative between SpinkyDinkScraps and simply.scraps. You can get the kit at scrappinoutloud.com for just $2.00! With all the fun parts it is definitely worth it!
I am very excited to be part of this team. Check back often and I will be receiving her next kit soon so I will post another LO as soon as it is done! :-) These ladies are definitely going to keep me busy! lol Thanks Lindsay for the opportunity to be part of your team!
(Oh one last thing, please look at the post below to give me some comments on the 2 pg LO, I redid one I had previously done and I want some honest feedback! lol)

Redo

LOL...I decided one of the pages I did on Christmas eve was just not quite right, so I went back and redid it along with adding a second page to it. (Please check out my post below to see the way it originally looked.) Well one night I was laying in bed thinking about it and decided, I really should show how long the line was for the first night we went and why we didn't stay. I also thought it would be cute to do the second page basically the same with the pictures I did get for the official "Walk through Bethlehem". So here is the new 2 page LO version. Do you like it better? PLEASE BE HONEST!! lol (Click on the picture to enlarge. You can also click on the pic in the post below to enlarge and see the differences.)

I added some acrylic frames done by Linda at http://bonscrapatitdesigns.blogspot.com/. Love these frames. I think they look cool on this page too.

Tropical Punch Kit by ShelBelleScraps

As I stated earlier I am part of the creative team at ShelBelleScraps. Well here is my first LO for her newest kit Tropical Punch! I just loved the colors of this kit! So much fun! I completed this today in my online crop! Now, the kit is not available until Sunday night, so you can't download it until then. But here is a preview of the kit, so don't forget to run over there in a couple of days to start downloading it! Here is the link to her blog: http://shelbellescraps.blogspot.com/

For Amy

So I was talking with the girls today at the crop about creating a monthly calendar for my weight loss album. Tracy gave me this idea last year and I have done it all year long and of course am going to continue. So today I worked on January's and February's pages. This obviously is February. What I do is each day I track my weight, water and exercise. At the bottom I put my starting weight, my goal weight for the month and then my ending weight. Amy asked for a picture of it, so here you go!!

Part of a Creative Team!

Wow, can you believe little ole me has been selected to be part of a digital scrapbooking creative team???? I think my pages are great, but I always worry that other people don't think they are and that they are just being nice with their comments. But apparently you are speaking the truth, and so for that, I am grateful!! Thank you so much!

I am sooooo very excited to do this new little adventure! This is the first one I have been on and I can hardly wait to start! I must admit I am a little scared, but I feel more like there is a challenge in this to really push me to be a better digital scrapbooker and I am thrilled! I am deeply honored that she selected me. When I applied I figured, "what the heck, I am going to apply and see what she thinks. What's the worst thing that can happen? She could say she decided to go with someone else, or I wasn't what she was looking for, or just plain no. But so what? That isn't going to kill me!!" So I did it and she liked my work and so here we are!!!

I will be part of the creative team for Shel at http://shelbellescraps.blogspot.com/! She has some great kits she has already put out there and I so look forward to working with her more closely! We have already received all the parts for the first kit and are busily working on the LOs. She will reveal the kit starting on Sunday so check back for that! I will post my LO on my blog after she has posted the kit on hers.

Also, I wanted to let you know that nothing else will change in my time and spending it with all you faithful blog followers! lol Yes I will have to create LOs for Shel, but won't I be creating these LOs anyway??? YES indeed I would be! So instead of finding a kit, now I have one given to me to use with my photos! :-) And it will definitely give me something to work on at my Friday online crop and chats!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day and Shel, thank you so much for the opportunity! I am overflowing with joy! (Can you tell??? hehehe!)

S2L Challenge 12/28-1/4 LO#1

So there were several choices for this week's challenge:

1. Use your favorite colors on your page
2. College Bowl Time--Scrap a sports LO
3. Create a 2008 Year in Review Page

So I choose #3, but also did #1 not realizing that it was an option and blue is my favorite color! I chose to do a year in review of my weight loss for this year. I have lost 49 pounds during the year of 2008 (total lost is 54 pounds, I gained about 7 pounds over the holidays, so I need to get that back off in January!) Wow when I do it this way I can REALLY see the change in my body!
This is truly only possible because of the website I use. If you are looking for a free weight loss website then check it out!! It is called www.sparkpeople.com!

I have no idea why it looks like the page is crooked, I guess it is one of those optical illusion type things because of the slanted blue paper! lol I really didn't use any kits on this one. I made the blue page myself by opening a blank white document and then using the paint bucket to turn it blue! The "overlay" is actually one frame overlay repeated 4 times on each side of the page!! I wanted a glittery overlay, but couldn't really find exactly what I was looking for and I had this one and figured with the quadruple layers it actually worked out quite well!!! The frame overlay is from ScrappyPonyDesigns at http://cesstrelle.wordpress.com/. Thank you!
