Whale of a Tale by Scraps N Pieces

Yep another kit by Scraps N Pieces! These ladies are amazing and I LOVE their kits!!! I am so glad I have been able to work with them and their awesome kits!

Lori sent the preview to their kits for June and asked which one I wanted to work with. She guessed I would choose the boyish kit (which I will blog about later this month), but I chose this kit instead!!! I have needed a kit to scrap our pictures from our trip to SeaWorld and I thought this would be perfect for it! (And I was right! lol)

Here is a full preview of the kit.
Here are my pages (this will be page one and two of the mini day trip--either the album or just that section in the scrapbook). I will be using this for a lot more pictures of this day trip! :-)
This page has a white background, I saw someone do this once and thought it was really cool and now I am kindof stuck on it lately! lol

So if you want this kit, go to Stuff to Scrap and get it for yourself!

What I got done today during the chat 06/04/10

This morning I finished up some invitations for church I was working on. While I would normally post them, they are nothing special so I am not going to take the time to dig one back out of my church bag just to take a picture, download the pictures and then upload it to blogger. lol

After the invitations were done I began working on Tye's teacher's gift. The other girl's clipboards from when we originally did this project were awesome! So I incorporated several of their ideas and made this one. I really love it!! Now I wish mine looked as cute! lol I had forgotten when I chose the paper that purple was her favorite color so I was thrilled when I checked my paperwork and saw that it was! So it is perfect for her. Just hope she likes it as much as I do! :-)

I still need to make the card, but that will be tomorrow's project. I am done crafting for the day. lol

My Life 5/9-5/15 and other Stuff to Scrap challenges

This week's My Life challenge was to scrap about "Why I scrapbook". So I went on a little trip down memory lane. Why I started scrapbooking and showed my first digital scrapbook pages and my most recent. Boy what a change in the last two years!

Scraps N Pieces by Scraps N Pieces
The next two pages are for the Scrap What? challenge. Since this month has been Stuff to Scrap's birthday month the challenges have been based a lot on birthdays/celebrations. This one was no different. I ended up doing a two pages spread. This was Kevin's 40th birthday pictures. :-)

Mayhem by Bits N Bobs

Bits N Bobs has a new kit out called Mayhem. I actually thought this was a fun mixture of themes. A little punk and a little music in there! :-) Here is a preview of the kit.

And here are my pages! The first one is of my DS with a bunch of other boys putting on a little concert for the dads at the Father/Son Campout in March.
I LOVED the word art that was in the kit "Mayhem on the Menu" and thought about these pictures that I took of the kids at dinner time one day when we were on vacation in Park City, Utah. I thought it fit perfectly. The kids were being silly, (not naughty at all, so don't think our children are bad or anything), but just pulling faces and chatting away with each other. It was quite funny. So anyway, I used this to make a two page spread for it.

So head on over to the Bits N Bobs blog to see how you can get this kit for yourself!

Memorial Day kit by Shel Belle Scraps

Shel Belle Scraps has a mini Memorial Day kit for free on her blog this weekend only! On Tuesday it will go into the store. So hurry over to get the kit for free now while you can! lol

Here is a preview of the mini kit.

I used this kit during the speed scrap this afternoon. Here are the directions:
Step 1: Choose 4 papers – 1 or 2 of them patterned
Step 2: Choose 1 large picture and a frame for it.
Step 3: Use 2 of your papers as your background, layering them however you’d like. Cut one of the remaining papers into a 4 x 12 strip and place it on your layout going either horizontally or vertically across your page. Use your last paper any way you wish
Step 4: Place your photo on your layout and frame it – but your frame must be off-set from the photo (tilted, etc.)
Step 5: Add 1 ribbon somewhere near or on your 4 x 12 paper strip. Add 2 round elements of your choice (can be the same one duplicated or 2 different ones…your choice) & 3 other elements of your choice.
Step 6: Add stitching to tie your layout all together ( I did mine all around the outside edges).
Step 7: Add a big one word title, attaching it with a fastener of your choice. Add any finishing touches

And here is the LO I created based on the instructions.

Don't forget you can get the kit for free this weekend only! So hurry over to Shel Belle's blog to get it now!!!
