S2L Challenge 8/3-8/10

I know I am late on this one too! lol But like we always say better late than never. So this particular week's challenge was to scrap a layout featuring children. Of course this is easy for me because I think there are very few pages I do that don't have children on them! lol Problem is I just didn't take the time to do it because of the Olympics starting (I was too busy cleaning the house and preparing meals). Anyway, so here is the page, finally done. I completed it on Tuesday when we had our online crop.

July and August 12 on the 12th

Well the last two days I have been able to complete my 12 on the 12th pages for the last two months. I have been behind so I am glad to be caught up again. I completed the ones for July today and August yesterday.

Although I must admit that the ones for July is actually NOT on the 12th. I took the pictures on the 15th. With just getting home from vacation and trying to get back in the swing of things, I totally spaced taking the pictures. I figured better late than never and I still took 12 pictures. So I guess it is actually 12 on the 15th! That day was nothing special. Just a regular day around the house.

HOWEVER, the 12th of August was quite another story. Today Michael Phelps who will now be considered not only one of the greatest swimmers of all time, but one of the greatest athletes of all time. He was going for his 4th Olympic Gold of the Beijing games this day and in doing that he was also chasing history by being the first person in history to have 10 career Olympic Gold medals (he had already tied the record for 9 career Olympic Golds the day before). HE DID IT and in world record time!! Oh and not to mention with his googles filling with water! What a wonderful and historic day! One that will not soon be forgotten.

June 12 on the 12th and S2L Challenge 8/11-8/18

This actually worked out well. I needed to work on my 12 on the 12th pages. I am a couple of months behind (3 to be exact). So I decided to work on them today while there was a break from the Olympics. I already had the pictures all ready, but needed to do the pages. As I was working on them I asked Tracy what the challenge was for this week because I couldn't remember and she said it was to use a number on our page. PERFECT! lol Since this is my 12 on the 12th I think that is all sorts of numbers!! lol This is my June 12 on the 12th, I hope to get the July one and possibly the August one done today or tomorrow. I will post them all here once I get them done. But for now here is the June LO.

S2L Challenge 7/28-8/4

This week's challenge was to scrap pictures that are more than a year old. Well that was easy for me since I am a chronological scrapper (except when it comes to the challenges). Plus I am at least a year and a half behind. The other part was to use Alphabet stamps or stickers on your page. I have plenty of alpha stickers, but there was no way I could use them on this page as the title is way too long to do the whole thing in them! lol So I am just sticking to the "pics over a year old" part of the challenge. These are from December 31, 2006.

Pages done by a great scrapper! (unfortunately it's not me! lol)

I have a great SparkPeople friend named Karrilee, she is a professional scrapper...yes she charges people to do scrapbooks for them. But since she is so kind and is always saying she is "caught up" (Hate her!! lol), I threatened to send her some of my pictures (a couple of times). She said I wouldn't do it, so I DID IT just to spite her!! lol jk Anyway, she created these BEAUTIFUL pages for me!! I am in awe of her work and so grateful she actually did them! (Without charging me. Gonna have to pay up next time! lol) It is no wonder she can charge for her pages because they are amazing. I just love them! THANKS KARRILEE!!! S2L Challenge 6/19-6/26

The challenge for this particular week was to scrap the great outdoors. Or something in 30 minutes. Well for me that is impossible. Also I know this one is late, but I have a valid excuse, I was actually on vacation during this time. So the layouts are from picture of the vacation. The great outdoors!!! WOOHOO!! We went to Park City, UT. It was beautiful! A great summer place too since I don't ski it works for me! (Much cheaper now too!! lol)

Maze Book Online Crop 07/29/08

At the online crop we had on Tuesday, Alicia showed us how to make a maze book. First let me say it is harder to figure out when you are typing instead of being actually shown how to do it. It took me probably 4 hours to figure out the first one (that does NOT include pics or embellishments! lol That is JUST folding it!) The other three I did (which 2 are exactly the same and 1 is close but different paper, all the pics and embellies are the same) took me only about 10 minutes to complete each. MUCH easier once you know what you are doing!! lol

So here is pictures of two of them. I put the two fronts together because they are different colors. Then I used just the inside of one book (except on one I did the other book because the wording showed up better in the picture).

Then I had DS sign the final page. Too cute! Thanks again Alicia! I love them and I am thinking about making 2 more!
