Forest Friends by The Scrappy Kat and Digital Scrap Fun

The Scrappy Kat has teamed up with Digital Scrap Fun to create a DARLING little critter kit! I am sure I will use it again, but I have been so sick this last week that I have done hardly anything but sleep or sit and watch TV. I am feeling a bit better, but still have a ways to go.

ANYWAY! lol Here are the previews of both parts of the kit.

And here is my page. I think it turned out pretty well.

For the life of me I could NOT find the pictures that I have from one particular zoo trip where I took pictures of the animals (usually I just take pictures of Tye petting the stingray or watching the manatee or hanging out with the otter, but those didn't work for this kit! lol). One day I will find those pictures and I will know the exact kit to use for them! lol So instead I decided to create a cluster frame. I hope this works as it is the first time I have ever done this. You can find the link to my 4shared account here.

Let me know what you think!
The kit will be on sale in the store.

Misc Pages I have gotten done

I don't have any CT kits to work with right now so I decided to work on some older pics.

The first one is another pic from the start of my LDS mission. When you go on a mission for our church you always go to the Missionary Training Center (MTC) for anywhere from 3 weeks to two months. I entered the MTC on January 15, 1997. This is the front sign that EVERYONE has to get their picture taken in front of (not that it is mandatory, everyone just does it! lol)Formal by Digi Designs by Nicole

This next set of pages are actually going to be hybrid pages...I have printed out these pics along with a HUNDRED (and I am not even joking...my bill was over $75 to get them all printed...yeah, I am only about 1/3-1/2 way done with them) a LONG time ago, but when I began getting discouraged with paper scrapping I quit scrapping them. So they have sat in the bag for almost 3 years now. I had decided to try to do them hybrid. Meaning, do the page digitally and then put the actual pictures on them. So to help with my sizing I used the digi copy of them and then deleted the pic and will put it on once I get the page printed. Hope it works out because it is a lot of work to get the sizing right and make a layout with little to no elements on top of the pictures or else they would be covered when I actually put the pictures on the pages. I am tempted to just throw all the pics out and to them digitally...it will cost the same price pretty much either way. We'll see.

Little Engineer by Spinky Dink Scraps

This last one is from some pics from the summer of 2009. I was trying to find an ice cream eating page and ended up coming across these pics and thought I had a "got milk" type kit or something so I went searching and found this. I love how it ended up turning out! (Yeah the sunflowers play a small part in that lol)

So there you have it. What else I have been up to lately. lol

One Snowy Night by THe Scrappy Kat and Mommy Me Time Scrapper

The Scrappy Kat teamed up with Mommy Me Time Scrapper to make their January Build-A-Kit bigger and better. They added paper and elements and came up with this:
Here is what I came up with from the kit. Mind you these are almost all of the snow pictures that I have that have not been scrapped yet! lol Hope no one else comes out with a snow kit! lol These are all pics from the two snow days we had while we were in Utah for Christmas. (Well there was one more huge snow day but it started late in the day and we were on our way to Idaho first thing the next morning and I didn't want his feet to be wet the whole drive! lol)

The kit will be on sale in the Stuff to Scrap Store for $2 the first week. There is also a quickpage pack for $2 also.

It's All Me by Spinky Dink Scraps and Victoria Feemster

Spinky Dink Scraps has gotten together with Victoria Feemster to create It's All Me! We are usually the ones behind the camera so we forget quite often to scrap about ourselves. But this kit helps us focus on that. I wish I had more pics of me, not necessarily doing things, but more of a photo shoot type pics. I am hoping my friend will do some pics soon, we have talked about it but never have gotten together yet. At least when we do I will definitely have a kit to use! lol

I decided to scrap the pics of my 10 year anniversary with the Credit Union. I think the colors worked pretty well with the pictures too so it was great! Here they are, a two page spread.
So head on over to Spinky Dink Scraps' blog and find out how you can get this kit for yourself!

And my page. Not much, but I LOVE the large photo with his "teef" showing! lol :-)

Recent Happy Birthday Cards

I have been trying to catch up on my January birthday cards and decided to go ahead and do a few for February and some more down the road too. Luckily none of the cards I have completed for the guy birthdays in February are guys that read my blog! So I am posting them all now! lol

This first one is for my sister, Sally. She LOVES purple, so I used the cuttlebug embosing border. Then stickled the centers of some of the flowers and tied with a green and purple checked ribbon.

This next one was for my niece, Kennedy. She is not really a frilly girlie girl. She likes sports and climbing telephone poles, but I thought this card would work perfect since I was using green and purple it isn't so girlie girl! lol I used a $1 stamp I got a Michaels for the birthday cake and then I stickled the flames with golden rod. :-) I used another Michaels $1 stamp for the Happy Birthday. And that green and purple ribbon again! I LOVE that ribbon!! I sooooooo wish I would have bought more than one when I found it (it was on clearance for 50 cents! UGH! lol)

This is the exact same as above, but just different colors, for one of my online friends, Nancy and for my other friend, Mary. Then I used a pink and white ribbon. I absolutely LOVE how these two cards turned out!
I LOVE this card too! I used the monkey my friend Cherie made for a swap using the Create-A-Critter cart. I used the leftover from the card base to cut the brown vine the monkey is hanging on from Create-A-Critter. I used core'denations paper with the green on one side and brown on the other. It didn't quite work out how I had hoped so after I embossed with my cuttlebug, I ran the SU! Pumpkin Pie stamp across the embossing. This one is for my niece, AnLi! I loved it so much I actually made another one exactly like it for Tye for his birthday since I usually call him "monkey".
I made two of these, for one of my brother-in-laws and the other is for my friend. Nothing fancy about this one. :-) Used "The Guy" stack from DCWV.
These next two I found on the Scrapbooks, etc and adapted them. They used like an airbrush or alcohol inks or something like that and I don't have any of those. So I just ran my ink across the squares. But I like the bright colors that it turned out!
And then I used glimmer mist on this one! I LOVE how pretty it is with the shimmery glitter! :-)

Adore by The Scrappy Kat

Here is the first kit from my new designer! It is called Adore and it is for the Stuff to Scrap Build-A-Kit for February. Of course the title says it all in this one. It is supposed to be a mini kit, but to me it has enough of everything to be a full size kit!

Here is a preview of the papers and the elements. There is also a whole set of torn papers with it!

Here are my layouts. I am not so sure I am totally in love with the cluster on this first one, but it is going to do! lol

Now, I absolutely "adore" this next page! I just love how stinking cute my little guy is! He is so photogenic and always has the cutest expressions on his face!

So if want to have this kit, each part is on sale for $1.99. You can pick it up in her store here.
